Bassam Al Kantar is a Lebanese environmental communicator and policy expert with over two decades of experience in environmental advocacy, nature conservation, and community-based resource management. He serves as the Communications Director at the Society for the Protection of Nature in Lebanon (SPNL), where he plays a key role in promoting the revival of the traditional Hima system—a locally rooted model for conserving biodiversity and empowering communities.
